Southwestern Christian (5-3, 0-0 SAC) keeps it close against #2 Central Methodist University in another match up at the Cajun Collision Tournament.

Henry Ogando started on the mound for the Eagles and would have a good outing against the #2 team in the nation. This start was his first start as an Eagle. His stat line, 5.1 inning, 5 hits, 2 runs, and 5 strikeouts. He was relieved by Jacob Doshier who pitched 2.2 innings on 1 hits, 1 runs, and 2 strikeout. These guys held CMU to only 6 hits and walking on 3 batters.

The Eagle offense struggled again having 13 strikeouts. Mitchell Bryant and Freilin Cabrera both had multiple hits in the game. O'Shea Whiteside joined them with 1 hit during this game.

CMU would tie the game in the 6th inning when Merced hit a triple scoring two. They would hit a walkoff home run in bottom of the 7th inning to win the ballgame.

The Eagles look to bounce back when they travel to Muskogee, Okla to play Bacone College on Friday, February 18th, at 1 & 3 PM.
