Lady Eagles fall to Langston in tight contest

Langston,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(2-3, 1-1 SAC) dropped a close one to Langston on Saturday losing 70-66 to a tough Lady Lions squad. Langston shot 22 of 60 from the field(37%). Anyia Pride was the leading scorer for the Lions shooting 8-11 from the field and ending the game with 24 pts.

Southwestern Christian ended the game shooting 19-55(35%) from the floor, while shooting 7 of 18(39%) from beyond the Arc, SCU shot 21-22(96%) from the Charity strike. The Bench of SCU contributed 13 pts to the effort. Delaney Reimer being the top scorer coming off the bench. Langston out-rebounded the Lady Eagles, (43-31), SCU and Langston both had the same amount of second chance points (13-13). Lauren Wade lead SCU with Three assists and SCU ended the night with 13 assist overall. The Big Stat for SCU was 20 pts in the paint and shooting 96% from the Free throw line.

Tresha Yager shot 5 of 9 from the field all Three point shot attempts and shot 4-5 from the charity strike, she ended the night with 19 pts, 2 Rebs,& 1 Ast. Christina Jenkins ended the nigh with 12 pts, 6 Rebs,& 1 Ast. Jayden Mason ended her nigh with 10 pts, 3 Rebs,& 1 Ast.

Southwestern Christian returns to action on the Road in San Antonio,TX on November 21st at 4:00 PM against Our Lady of the Lake for the OLLU Classics and more SCU Women's Basketball
