Fayette, Mo. --Southwestern Christian finished its suspended game against #2 Central Methodist on Thursday in Fayette,MO, The game, which had been played on Sept. 8, was suspended at the 28:31 mark of the second half after a medical issue with an official. At the time of resumption, SCU was leading #2 Central Methodist 1-0.
SCU had to work hard on defense with just under a half hour of game time remaining to potentially pull an upset against CMU, but unfortunately CMU tied the match on an own goal by SCU in the 77th minute of play. Less than three minutes later, CMU scored to pull out in front, 2-1. It appeared that CMU was going to secure the second half comeback. But with less than a second on the clock, Liam Brag would chip in a rebound to land a 2-2 Draw against powerhouse Central Methodist. Liam Brag scored the first goal back on Sept. 8th before the Game was suspended, so he would get the Brace for the day
Southwestern Christian finished the match with four shots, including two shots on goal, compared to 14 shots by CMU and nine on goal.Salvatore Della Vella would get seven saves for the game.
