Waxahachie, Texas—For the second consecutive game, the Eagles hold on in the final minutes to win the game. The Lions shot 35-77 from the Field about 45%, 7-30 from three (23%) and also shooting 15-18 (83%). SCU Defense was stout and forced tough shots.The Eagles were able to get 24 pts off of 15 Turnovers which led to the big rout. Ronald Moore & Khristien White had 2 Steals each in the Defensive Effort.

The Eagles Offense also had a wonderful showing today, as they shot 34-61 from the Floor (55%). They did improve shooting from beyond the arc, SCU shot 6-16 from three (37%) and from the Free throw line shot 20-28 (71%). The Bench helped also contributed 14 pts to the Winning effort. The Lions Out-Rebounded Eagles 43-31. SCU had 6 Offensive rebounds in the game which led to 12 second chance pts for the SCU offense. Khristien White led the team in assist with 4. The Eagles got 34 out of the 94 points in the paint. Another big part of this huge win was the Eagles getting points off turnovers(24Pts).

The Senior Luiz Machado Jr. had a big Offensive night with 9-16 shooting and 3-5 from beyond the arc and shot 4-5 from the Line, He finished the game with 25 pts, 8 Rebs, 3 Ast. Khristien White also contributed to the Offensive effort with 6-11 shooting, 3-5 from the 3 point line and 3-4 shooting from the Free throw line, His Final stat line was 18 pts and 4 Rebs, 4 Ast. Derek Dantzler and Ronald Moore helped the team with 17 points each.

The Eagles will return to action on the Road on Thursday, January 6th, at 8:00pm against John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Ark.
