OKLAHOMA CITY—The Sooner Athletic Conference has released their 2020-21 academic all-conference awards as 93 Southwestern Christian student-athletes earned recognition for their efforts.
Academic all-conference awards go to students who achieve a 3.25 GPA and were varsity letter winners during the 2020-21 academic year.
Men's soccer and baseball led the way for SCU with 17 academic all-conference members each. Women's soccer added 14 names to the list, while women's basketball was not far behind with 13 representatives. Softball came next in line with 10 honorees. Volleyball would add 7, while women's track and field would add 6, and men's golf notched 5. Men's basketball, men's track and field, and women's golf rounded it out for SCU with 3, 3, and 2, respectively.
Four athletes (Cassie Colong, Sara Negillo, Jordan Williams, and Sarafina Youngblood) would earn the recognition in multiple sports.
Women's basketball's 13 representatives would be tops of all women's basketball teams in the conference.
