Eagles Fall to MACU

Bethany, Okla.-- Soutwestern Christian fell at home in an SAC contest with MACU on Tuesday night.

Bethany Okla,.—Southwestern Christian(5-5, 1-4 SAC) fell in a tough fight to Mid-America University (10-2, 3-2 SAC), 47-69. The Lady Evangels  shot 25-69  from the Field about 36%, 14-41 from three (34%). 

The Lady Eagles Offense had a tough time getting things started today, as they shot 16-57 from the Floor (28%). SCU shot 4-26 from three (15%) and also got to the the Free throw line a bunch and shot 11-18 (61%). Thamires Andrade led the SCU Lady Eagles in scoring with 22 pts. The Bench contributed 7 pts in tough Loss. The Lady Eagles got out-rebounded by MACU, (25-49). The Lady Eagles had a really tough time getting on the fast break which is a big part of their game, only being able to score 2 Fast-break pts today. SCU got 8 assist as a team on the day, Abbey Phibbs led the team in Assist today with 3.

The Senior Thamires Andrade was one rebound away from picking up her 5th double-double game of the season, She shot 8-14 from the Field and almost Perfect from the Charity Strike, shooting 6-8 she finished the game with 22 pts, 9 Rebs. Abbey Phibbs also contributed to the Offensive effort with 4-7 shooting, also shot 1-1 from beyond the arc, and shot 1-1 from the free throw line, Her Final stat line was 10 pts and 2 Rebs, 4 Ast. Gillian Snowder and Lauren Masquat both finished with 3 pts in the game. Sara Negrillo came off the bench and drained two 3 pointers.

The Lady Eagles will return to action Saturday December 10th, at 5:30 PM against (RV) College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, MO.
