LAWRENCE, Kan. - Southwestern Christian University men's cross country runner Noe Perez finished in first place at the MCAC Championship meet on Saturday, November 3rd in Lawrence, Kansas.
Perez ran the 8K course in 26:57 - 18 seconds ahead of second place finisher Alejandro Sanchez of Waldorf.
As a team, the Eagles finished third in the six-team meet with an average time of 29:30. York College was the meet titlist with Haskell Indian Nations falling in at the two spot. Oklahoma Wesleyan took fourth in the event and Waldorf took fifth. Central Christian College was disqualified.
Joel Salazar finished fifth individually with a time of 27:27, Luke Bryan finished 13th with a time of 29:52, Thad Dies finished 16th with a time of 30:47, and Charles Reichert finished 24th with a time of 32:27.
The Eagles head to Cedarville, Ohio next to compete in the NCCAA National Championship meet on Saturday, November 10th at Cedarville University.
