Parent began his coaching career in 1992 as a track and field coach at Putnam City High School. Since his inaugural 2018-2019 season, SCU track and field has reached new heights, setting 37 indoor and outdoor men’s and women’s school records. 

Men’s Indoor Track and Field:

• 43 national placers

• 9 All Americans

• 1 runner-up

• 1 national champion

Women’s Indoor Track and Field:

• 23 national placers

• 3 All Americans

• 2 runners-up 

Men’s Outdoor Track and Field:

• 38 national placers

• 10 All Americans

• 2 runners-up

Women’s Outdoor Track and Field:

• 21 national placers

• 4 All Americans
