Southwestern Christian University

Juan De Dios Castillo enters his eighth season as the head women's soccer coach at Southwestern
Christian University and his 10th year coaching collegiate women's soccer. Since arriving at
SCU, Castillo has established a culture built on competitive excellence, player development,
leadership, accountability, faith and a strong team-first identity.

Castillo has guided the Eagles through a period of historic growth and achievement. His 2025
team posted a 14-7-1 record, earned NCCAA Regional Coach of the Year honors, and advanced
to the NCCAA National Championship final for the first time in program history, finishing as
national runner-up.

Prior to SCU, Castillo served as head women's soccer coach at Northern Oklahoma College,
where he led the program to a school-record 36-6 record, two conference championships and two
regional championships. His coaching background also includes eight years with West Side
Alliance Soccer Club, where he developed players at the club level and helped prepare student-
athletes for collegiate soccer.

Castillo philosophy extends beyond the field. He is committed to developing the whole student-
athlete by combining high-level training and competition with academic achievement, character,
leadership, service and spiritual growth. His goal is to build a program where players are
challenged to perform at a high level while becoming confident, disciplined and impactful
leaders on and off the field.

Castillo, who holds a masters degree in dentistry, and his wife, Cheyenne (26Years), reside in
Edmond, Okla., with their two sons Ethan and Enzo. The family relocated to Tulsa in 2011 from
Monterey, Mexico, where Castillo still owns a dental practice.
