  • Title
    Head Coach
Becky Mitchell will once again return to SCU this fall as she enters in to her ninth season as head coach of the Southwestern Christian University Lady Eagles. In 2009, Coach Mitchell was named ACCA National Coach of the Year and led the Lady Eagles to their best record in the program's history. That same year, they also finished runner-up in the NCCAA National Championship game. Coach Mitchell has remained the backbone of the SCU women's basketball team as she and the Lady Eagles have been NCCAA National Tournament contenders for the past two years. Coach Mitchell demands a hard work ethic from her players and expects nothing less than everything from every one of her players. This fall, she will look to continue to pursue success as the Lady Eagles march head first into the MCAC conference in the NAIA.

Coach Mitchell attended Grace Christian High School where she was an exceptional athlete at both volleyball and basketball. She was named to the OCSAA All-State teams in both sports. Becky then went on to play collegiate basketball for Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri from 1993-97. She is now married to Bryan Mitchell and they have three girls together.
