BETHANY, Okla. — Southwestern Christian University volleyball earned a convincing three-set sweep over Central Christian College of Kansas on Saturday afternoon at Pickens-Springer Fieldhouse, winning 25-19, 25-13, 25-17.

The Eagles controlled the match from the opening set, building an early advantage before closing out the first frame 25-19. SCU carried that momentum into the second set, limiting Central Christian to just 13 points while taking a 2-0 match lead.

SCU finished the sweep with another strong performance in the third set, pulling away for a 25-17 victory.

The Eagles finished the match with 38 kills on 103 attacks and hit .272 as a team. SCU also recorded 36 assists, six service aces, 12 blocks and 54 digs.

Jovana Perovic and Karen Jimenez led the offensive attack with nine kills apiece. Perovic hit .250 and added three block assists for 10.5 total points, while Jimenez hit .368 and contributed nine points.

Emma Hall directed the SCU offense with 18 assists, while Ana Turone added five assists and a team-high 18 digs.

Dani McCampbell contributed four kills, two service aces and four block assists, while Sara Castrillom added five kills and two block assists. Emery Hulme recorded five kills and a block assist.

With the victory, SCU improves to 4-3 overall and 2-3 in conference play. Central Christian falls to 0-9 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
