Game 1: SCU 6, Central Christian 5
The Eagles came out swinging in the series opener, scoring four runs in the first inning to set the tone.
Dominic Ornelas delivered the biggest moment with a grand slam, while Dario Paredes added a two-run home run later in the game. SCU totaled nine hits and built a 6-3 lead before holding off a late push.
On the mound, Anderson Paredes earned the win with six solid innings, and Jacob Hogan shut the door in the ninth to secure the save as SCU held on for a 6-5 victory.
Game 2: Central Christian 4, SCU 3
Game two was another tight contest, but this time the Eagles fell just short.
SCU recorded eight hits, with Royce Florenzano and Dario Paredes leading the offense. The Eagles scratched across runs in the middle innings but couldn't find the timely hit late to complete the comeback.
Central Christian used a key stretch in the fifth and sixth innings to take control, and SCU was unable to answer in the final frame.
Game 3: Central Christian 9, SCU 2
In the series finale, the Eagles couldn't slow down Central Christian's offense.
SCU grabbed an early lead with two runs in the second inning, but the Tigers responded with big innings in the third, fourth, and fifth to break the game open.
Despite seven hits from the Eagles, the deficit proved too much as Central Christian pulled away for the 9-2 win.
Series Summary
Southwestern Christian showed offensive power early in the series but struggled to sustain momentum across all three games. The Eagles will look to build on their game-one performance and improve late-game execution moving forward.
