Southwestern Christian University men's basketball faced a tough road test on Saturday night, falling 90–51 to Mid-America Christian at the Gaulke Activity Center.
The Eagles were led offensively by Michal Wooldridge, who scored a team-high 16 points while adding three rebounds and three assists. Wooldridge was aggressive throughout the night, attacking the basket and knocking down timely shots to pace SCU.
Elijah Garcia provided a spark off the bench, finishing with 11 points on 3-of-6 shooting from beyond the arc. Garcia's perimeter shooting helped SCU find some rhythm offensively, especially during the second half.
Jalen Goar contributed seven points and five rebounds, while Jordun Willard added six points and four rebounds, battling inside and on the glass. JaColby Williams chipped in with four points, four rebounds, and two assists, and Dason Cook pulled down a team-high seven rebounds to anchor SCU's interior effort.
Despite the final score, the Eagles showed improved offensive execution after halftime, outscoring their first-half total with 31 second-half points. SCU also received solid bench production, totaling 22 points from reserves, an encouraging sign moving forward.
Southwestern Christian will look to build on the positives from this game as the Eagles continue conference play and prepare for their next matchup.
