Southwestern Christian men's basketball competed at home Thursday night but dropped a 99–80 conference contest to the University of Science and Arts in Bethany.
The Eagles faced an uphill battle early as USAO built a 56–37 halftime lead behind efficient shooting. SCU responded with a more balanced offensive effort in the second half, scoring 43 points after the break.
JaColby Williams led Southwestern Christian with a game-high 24 points, shooting 9-of-16 from the field and adding four rebounds. Jalen Goar followed with 16 points, while Jordun Willard provided a strong presence inside, finishing with 10 points and seven rebounds. Brody Smith contributed seven points off the bench, and SCU received solid minutes throughout the rotation.
Despite improved second-half play, USAO's shooting accuracy and ability to score in the paint proved to be the difference, as the Drovers finished the night shooting over 65 percent from the field.
Southwestern Christian will look to regroup and continue conference play, building on the offensive momentum shown in the second half.
