GOODWELL, Okla. – Southwestern Christian University competed deep into the game Saturday afternoon but fell 61–54 to Oklahoma Panhandle State in a road conference matchup.
The Eagles came out strong, building an 18–11 lead after the first quarter, but OPSU responded over the middle quarters to take momentum heading into the final period. SCU continued to battle defensively and looked to rally late, but the Aggies were able to maintain their edge down the stretch.
Kaydrin Scott led the Eagles with 21 points and 13 rebounds, recording another double-double performance. Chrissen Harland added 14 points, while Alexus Roberson contributed seven as SCU worked to keep pace offensively.
Despite the loss, Southwestern Christian showed resilience on the road and remained competitive throughout. The Eagles move to 8–8 overall and 5–7 in conference play as they prepare for their next conference contest.
