Southwestern Christian women's soccer opened the 2025 season with a strong showing, earning a 2–2 draw against Evangel University on Friday night in Oklahoma City.
After falling behind early, the Eagles responded in the 23rd minute when Shosona Graham buried her first goal of the year off an assist from Nerea Arranz. SCU continued to push the pace, outshooting Evangel 12–7 and creating seven corner opportunities.
Evangel briefly regained the lead midway through the second half, but the Eagles refused to back down. In the 86th minute, Sofia Jimenez delivered the equalizer to secure the result. Abbigail Johnson was active throughout with five shots, while goalkeeper Lorelai Puglisi added three saves.
The Eagles showed resilience and control in their 2nd game, setting the tone for a promising 2025 campaign.
