From the outset, the Eagles showed promise with standout performances, particularly in the batting lineup.
Braden Browning made a striking impact early in the game, hitting a grand slam in the first inning which initially put SCU in a strong competitive stance. Additional firepower came from
Matys Gagnon and
Dario Paredes, who each contributed with two-run homers, Gagnon in the first and Paredes in the fourth inning. Their efforts underscored a game filled with potential despite the final outcome.
