Southwestern Christian put together a determined performance Thursday night in Bethany, narrowly falling 62–57 to Mid-America Christian. The Eagles opened strong with a 17–10 first-quarter lead, fueled by sharp shooting from Brooke Robertson and steady scoring from Chrissen Harland, who finished with a team-high 16 points.
Robertson added 11 points, hitting three threes, while Kaydrin Scott contributed 8 points and 5 rebounds. Jayden Mason and Alexus Roberson combined for key defensive plays, and Shak Gladness anchored the paint with 10 rebounds and 6 points off the bench. SCU also went an impressive 17-for-21 at the free-throw line, keeping the game close down the stretch.
Despite a tough third quarter, the Eagles surged late, with Monique Carter knocking down a big three to spark the final push. SCU cut the deficit to single digits in the closing minutes but couldn't complete the comeback, moving to 4–2 on the season.
