Oklahoma City, Okla. - Southwestern Christian took on Central Christian College today, defeating the Tigers by a final of 59-51. Although the Eagles struggled from the field, they made full use of each trip to the free throw line to punish a Tigers team that has struggled with fouls all season.
Kennedy Allison continued her offensive success tonight, becoming SCU's highest scorer for the second game in a row. Kennedy posted 19 points on 6-15 shooting from the field and 6-6 shooting from the line. She also grabbed 6 rebounds, had an assist, and a steal.
Chrissen Harland traveled to the line 9 times and knocked down every free throw, and coupled with 4-15 shooting from the field, she finished with 18 points.
Jayden Mason secured a double-double in the victory with 13 points and 12 rebounds, while also finding 2 steals and an assist. Mason shot 4-7 from the field, 2-3 from three, and 3-6 from the line. The next highest scorer for SCU was
Jenna Wade with 3 points, and
Brooke Robertson had 2 points to round out the top five.
