Oklahoma City, Okla. - Mid-America Christian University proved to be too much for the Eagles today, defeating Southwestern Christian University 74-62. SCU shot better from beyond the arc, but Mid-America shot better from the field, and out-rebounded the Eagles, while having less turnovers.
SCU got a strong performance from two players in particular, with
Deondre Dunn posting 29 points, and
George McCurdy putting up 13 points. Dunn had 8 rebounds and a steal, while McCurdy had 3 assists, a steal, and a rebound. Deuce Kennedy and
Kolby Vestal both had 6 points, with Vestal also grabbing 6 rebounds and 3 assists. The rest of SCU's lineup struggled offensively tonight, with SCU also only shooting about 50% from the free throw line.
