Bethany, Okla. - Southwestern Christian University was on the wrong end of a closely-contested thriller today, as they fell 73-69 to Texas Wesleyan University. Despite getting back out to a lead after the postponement, a couple key foul calls and missed free throws resulted in SCU dropping to 3-5 (1-4) this season.
George McCurdy's 22 point night was a large part of the Eagles' offensive success tonight, going 7-10 from the field, 2-3 from 3PT, and a perfect 6-6 from the free throw line.
Michal Wooldridge's 19 points and 7 rebounds helped SCU in the late minutes, as he also grabbed a key rebound with less than a minute that maintained SCU's chance to win the game on a walk-off shot.

Although both the Eagles and Rams both struggled form beyond the arc, SCU finished with better shooting percentages, including going 41% from the field.
