Sweeping the DoubleHeader Against Cross Town Rival

Oklahoma City,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(27-9,13-9 SAC) came out on top against cross town rival Mid-America Christian University on Good Friday! SCU would win the first game 6-0 and then the second game 6-5 in 8 innings. 

Game 1:

Pitching dominated game 1 with no score until the sixth inning, when Holly Elam would hit a single thru the left side scoring Alys Parr. The next batter up was Jess Moralez and she hits a single over the right fielders head scoring Madison Jones from third. Then in the 7th inning Madison Jones would single to left center to score Mallori Brown to push the score to 3-0. Later in the 7th Megan Vess would score Holly Elam after singling down the left field line. Jess Moralez would finish things off for the first game when she hits a double to right center scoring Vess and Elam. MACU had six hits but could not find a way to score any baserunners in the match up.

Game 2: 

Southwestern Christian and MACU would come out swinging in the second game of the day. Both teams scoring 2 in the 2nd inning. Mid-America would hold SCU in the 3rd and then come up in the bottom of the 3rd to score another one. SCU would bounce back scoring 1 in the 4th and then 2 more in the 5th. The Eagles were up by 1 going into the bottom of 7th but MACU finds a way to score 1 to force extra innings. That was no problem for the Lady Eagles because they would come out strong and score another run in the top of the 8th to get the sweep of the day against MACU.
