Plainview, Texas -  Southwestern Christian(32-18, 11-13 SAC) drop its final series of the regular season to Wayland Baptist, losing Games one and two, 19-25 and 13-18, but winning the rubber match 10-7 to avoid the sweep.

Game 1:
Jhors Gomez got on the scoring started early with a two-RBI homerun in the first, but WBU would answer with four in the bottom half. A pair of doubles by Tyler Reeves and Dario Paredes added three runs in the second, although WBU retook the lead heading into the third. A solo home run by Jake Cox tacked on another run for SCU, and two home runs in the fourth and fifth by Paredes and Draike Sparks respectively brought the game within one run. Braden Browning, Cox, Reeves, and Gomez came together in the sixth inning to score five runs, gaining the lead in the seventh thanks to the efforts of Cox and Reeves, but ultimately could not surmount the Pioneers' offense, as Wayland Baptist never relinquished the lead again. SCU threw a slew of pitchers, with Henrry Ogando, Connor O'Malley, Grayson Edwards, Ashton Durham, and Holden Koontz all taking the mound throughout the contest.

Game 2:
Game Two of the Sooner Athletic Conference matchup between the Southwestern Christian University Eagles and the Wayland Baptist University Pioneers went to Wayland in another high-scoring affair, with a final score of 18-13. Dario Paredes gave SCU an early lead with a three-RBI home run in the first. A Draike Sparks single, Tyler Reeves double, and Jhors Gomez two-run home run added five runs in the second inning. Sparks and Gomez would tack on four more runs in the third, extending SCU's lead to the largest it would be in the contest. Paredes launched a solo home run in the fifth, but the Pioneers ultimately completed the comeback. Braden Corley and Tagen Conary took the mound for SCU in the seven-inning contest.

Game 3:
Plainview, Texas - In the Sooner Athletic Conference matchup and 2023 regular season finale, the Southwestern Christian University Eagles defeated the Wayland Baptist University Pioneers 10-7 to avoid a series sweep. A Joseph Boone single followed by a three-run home run by Draike Sparks in the first inning put the Eagles on the board, and SCU never looked back. WBU picked up three in the second, but Phoenix Nelson reached on an error, Jake Cox notched a two-RBI single, and Jhors Gomez hit an RBI single, which widened the lead in the third. WBU brought the game within two runs by the end of the fifth, but an RBI single by Sparks in the sixth inning secured the win. Gabriel Figueroa received the win, and Gavin Sochor recorded the save.
