Bethany, Okla. - Game One of the Sooner Athletic Conference matchup between the Southwestern University Eagles and the Oklahoma City Stars was convincingly won by SCU in the later innings, finishing with a final score of 5-1.

OCU got on the board first when the Stars scored on a fielder's choice, but could not pick up any more runs in the contest. A two-run home run by Jhors Gomez kicked off the scoring in the sixth. Tyler Reeves would notch an RBI single in the seventh, and Gomez would acquire more RBIs with a two-RBI single in the same inning. Henry Ogando lasted all nine innings, dealing twelve strikeouts and only one walk in the win.

Southwestern Christian returns to action against Oklahoma City University at home on April 15th. The two teams will play a doubleheader, with the first pitch of Game 1 scheduled for 12 PM, and the first pitch of Game 2 scheduled for 2 PM.
