Plainview,TX.-- Southwestern Christian(11-15) takes a gut punch in the SAC Quarterfinals losing 89-79 to the Pioneers of Wayland Baptist, despite having five different Eagles scoring in Double-Digits, it just was not enough as the Eagles have been eliminated from NAIA postseason Play.
Southwestern Christian ended the game shooting 29-64(48%) from the floor, while shooting 6-24(25%) from beyond the Arc, SCU shot 15-26(58%) from the Free Throw Line. The Eagles had 38 Rebounds to the Drovers 42, Ronald Moore leading the way with eleven, and SCU finished the night with 13 assist, Robert Chapman, Luiz Machado Jr.,& Jordan Williams lead the team with three assist a piece. Southwestern Christian had eight steals on the night, Shawn Hopkins and Ronald Moore both leading the way with Three a piece.
Jordan Williams led the scoring for SCU with 17 pts, 3 Ast, 1 Reb, 1 Blk,& 1 Stl on 7-10 shooting and 3-7 at the Charity Strike. Ronald Moore finished the night with 14 pts, 11 Reb, 3 Stl,& 1 Ast. Three other Eagles finished the night with 14 pts a piece, Robert Chapman, Luiz Machado Jr.,& Bralen Patterson.
Southwestern Christian is awaiting confirmation if they have qualified for the NCCAA Central Region Regional for a chance to move on to the NCCAA National tournament, but more enough is to be announced.
