Bethany,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(6-0) came to protect their perfect record against Crowley's Ridge(3-3), and protect they did. Pitching came to dominate in game one of the doubleheader and the bats came alive in game two for school record breaking performances. The Eagles win game one 5-1 and dominate game two 20-6 over the visiting Pioneers.
The Eagles would open the scoring in the second inning with a Homerun over right by
Jessie Moralez to give the Eagles the early lead at 1-0. SCU would add a run in the fourth by
Addison Hanna when she singled to center to make it 2-0. The Eagles would score three in the sixth, starting with
Addison Hanna reaching on a fielder's choice and the Eagles would scratch across a run due to a pioneer error to bring it to 3-0, thenÂ
Alys Parr would single through the left side to make it 4-0, then another run would come across due to another Pioneer error to make it a 5-0 ball game heading into the seventh.
Lauren Schallert would lose her shutout due to giving up a homerun in the seventh but would close the door on the proverbially pen and closing out the game and picking up her fourth win on the season and now bringing her record to 4-0.

Southwestern Christian would draw first blood of game two with 10 runs in the first inning.

Mallori Brown would hit the Grand Salami over left center to make 8-0 over the Pioneers, thenÂ
Holly Elam would single up the middle with a runner on to extend the lead to 9-0 and laterÂ
Addison Hanna would also single to center to make it an even 10-0 heading into the second. SCU would scratch across three runs in the second starting of by scoring on fielding error by the Pioneers to bring it to 11-0, ThenÂ
Lexie Smith would double to left to bring in two runs and make it a 13-0 ball game heading into the third. The pioneers would score three in their top half of the third inning to make it a 13-3 ball game. In the Bottom half of the third the Eagles would answer back with six runs,

Mia Farrell would single through the left side to drive in two more Eagle runners and now make it 16-3,

Kirsten McKee would score on a wild pitch to make it an even 20 runs for the game. The Pioneers would score on a sac fly in fifth but would not be enough at the end of the fifth to make it 20-6 but the run rule has come and the Eagles would pick up their sixth dub on the early season.
