The Southwestern Christian University men's basketball team headed to Arkansas, where they suffered a big defeat to Pine Bluff. This was the Eagles first encounter with Pine Bluff.

Shawn Hopkins led the Eagles as the only player in double figures, followed by Ronald Moore with 8 points. Bralen Patterson, Chris Fetuga and Robert Chapman each had 7 points, and Taylor Turner added 6 points.

Shawn Hopkins managed to perform on both ends of the floor, as he had 5 rebounds and a block. Michael Wooldridge contributed with four rebounds for the Eagles. The Eagles came out slow and never managed to get a spark going.

• The Eagles shot 42.4 percent from the floor while Pine Bluff had a 60.2 percent mark

• Shawn Hopkins 15 points came on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor and a 1-of-3 effort from distance

• SCU lost the rebounding battle 44-26 and pulled down 5 offensive rebounds 

• Pine Bluff finished with a 3-2 edge in blocked shots,

• Chris Fetuga took only three shots but finished with seven points 

• Ahmad Kennedy scored his 5 points on 2-of-4 shooting and an assist in 9 minutes
