33 Points & Double-Doubles

(Siloam Springs,Ark.)—The Lady Eagles rout the Golden Eagles. 75-71, to end the first half of the Sooner Athletic Conference. John Brown shot 23-62 from the Field about 36%, 9-32 from three (28%) and 16-21 shooting from the Free Throw Line about 76%. SCU Defense was stout and forced tough shots and got seven steals on the night. The Eagles were able to get 16 points off of forcing 14 turnovers which helped lead to the win. Delaney Reimer led the the Eagles with 3 steals.

The Lady Eagles Offense also had a great showing today, as they shot 27-58 from the Floor (46%), SCU shot 5-16 from three (31%) and from the Free throw line shot 16-25 (64%). The Lady Eagles Out-Rebound the Lady Golden Eagles 40-34. SCU also moved the ball really well tonight getting 11 assist in the game. The big stat for the SCU Offense was 33 points in the paint.

The sophomore MJ Case had a big offensive night with 12-19 shooting, 4-6 from beyond the arc and 5-8 from the free throw Line, Her Final stat line is 33 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assist. This game was a career high for her with 33 points.  Senior Christina Jenkins also contributed to the Offensive effort 16 points,11 rebounds. This is her 3 game with a double-double since coming back from the Christmas break. Lauren Wade finishes with another double double, her final stat line 12 points, 10 rebounds, 1 steal. 

The Lady Eagles will return to action on the Road on Monday, January 16 at 6:00pm, they will play cross-town rival Mid-America Christian to continue their late push in the SAC standings as they have now crossed the half way point in conference play.
