Southwestern Christian(17-19) University Splits the day with Southwest Assemblies of God(28-8)

Game 1:

Southwestern Christian started the scoring early in this game when they would score 1 run in the bottom of the first. SAGU would score 2 runs in the top of the 3rd inning after they hit a triple and scored off a couple of singles. SCU would tie the game up in the 3rd inning when Jhors Gomez hit a single scoring Nick Smith. Southwest Assemblies of God fights back in the 4th inning scoring 3 runs making the difference in this game. SCU couldn't find a way to come back into this game after the big 4th inning of SAGU. SCU falls to SAGU 6 to 3 in the second game of the series.

Game 2:

The final game of this series was a pitching dual between both teams. The first run of this game didn't come across the plate until SCU Jhors Gomez scores on a wild pitch from SAGU. Southwestern Christian would come up the next inning and find a way to score 3 more runs when Erasmo Mavarez singles on a bunt scoring Jabes Turner. The freshman Joseph Boone would come up later in the inning hitting a double to right center scoring runs. SAGU would end of scoring a little come back in the 6th and 7th inning but only scoring 1 run in each inning. SCU held SAGU off in the 7th inning winning the battle 4 to 2.
