Tough Weekend for Eagles in SAC standings

Fort Worth,TX.-- Southwestern Christian(16-17,1-11 SAC) could not keep up with Texas Wesleyan(23-13) as the Rams swept the Weekend series, 8-3 in game one, 5-4 game two, and 19-4 in game three. SCU struggles continue as a streak has formed and not a good one at that.

Game 1: Friday-4/1/22
The Rams opened up the scoring in the bottom of the first with a double to left field to drive in a run, to give them an early lead at 1-0. Again the Eagles would respond in the top of the third with a Parker Henderson single up the middle to tie the game again at 2-2. But then Texas Wesleyan would retake the lead in the 5th inning and never give it back, as they scored two runs in the fifth, one run in the 7th and three runs in the eighth, to give them a sizable cushion at 8-2, moving into the ninth. SCU would score a run in the ninth on a Double play to make it 8-3, but that was all the Eagles could muster. Jose Perez took the loss for scu the picture allowed four hits and four runs over four and a third innings striking out four. Jordan Bahnuk would come out of the pen for relief, his final stat line was 3.1 IP,2 K, and 4 Er. Tyler Reeves would finish the game for SCU, he pitched 0.1 IP, 1 BB, and 1 Groundout.
