Winona Lakes IN—Southwestern Christian University fall short in game 1 of the NCCAA National Tournament against Baptist Bible College in tough game 80-91. The Patriots shot 29-61 from the Field about 48%, 9-27 from three (33%) and shot 24-32 from about 75%.The Eagles got 7 pts off of 18 Turnovers in the loss, SCU also picked up 8 steals and 1 blocks. Jordan Williams gets 2 steals on the night for the Eagles.

The Eagles Offense had a decent showing today, as they shot 30-68 from the Floor (44%). SCU shot 7-22 from three (32%) and from the Free throw line shot 13-18 (72%). Luiz Machado Jr., Derek Dantzler and, Bralen Patterson led the SCU Eagles in Rebound with 5 Rebs a piece. The Bench contributed 43 pts to the effort. The Eagles Out-Rebounded the Patriots 39-34. SCU had 15 Offensive rebounds in the game which led to 16 second chance points for the SCU offense. The Eagles had 15 assist in the Game. The Eagles scored 30 pts in the paint tonight.

Luiz Machado Jr. led the Eagles with 7-18 shooting and 4-10 from beyond the arc, He finished the game with 18 pts and 5 Rebs. Derek Dantzler also contributed to the Offensive effort, His Final stat line was 15 pts and 5 Rebs.
