Oklahoma City,Okla,--Southwestern Christian(14-12, 9-11 SAC)had a hard time overcoming Oklahoma City size advantage, but forced the game to Overtime, and OCU pulled away in the final seconds to pick up the win,72-77 over SCU. OCU shot 27-60 from the field averaging 45%, 7-22 from the three point line averaging 32% and shot 16-20 from the free throw line averaging 80%. OCU's Abby Selzer led the Stars with 24 points. The Eagles 13 forced turnovers resulting in 9 points.  SCU had 2 blocks in this game with 9 steals. Thamires Andrade and Abbey Phibbs both get a block a piece and multiple steals on the night. Four other Lady Eagles had a steal a piece in the game.

The Eagles Offense shot the ball well today, The Lady Eagles shot 26-64 from the floor averaging 41%, shot 9-23 from three (39%) and from the free throw line shot 11-12 (92%). With 20 points Christina Jenkins led the Eagles in Points.The Stars had the slight advantage in the rebound Category with 36-39 favor, and even had the two point advantage in 2nd chance pts leading 7-9.The Eagles had 9 offensive rebounds and scored 7 second chance points, The bench contributed 16 points to the effort, Lauren Masquat with having a productive night coming off the bench with 12 pts. In total the Eagles had 23 assist in the game. SCU also finished with 18 pts in the paint.

The Lady Eagles will return to action at Home for Senior day, Thursday, February 17th,at 6:00 PM against the Langston Lady Lions(17-9,12-8 SAC) in another Sooner Athletic Conference matchup and to make a late push upwards in the SAC standings as the season is winding down and the SAC tournament is just over the Horizon.
