Kissimmee, Florida - The Southwestern Christian Men's soccer team were back in action Friday night as they battled Roberts Wesleyan University for a ticket to the NCCAA National Championship game. SCU had fought and battled but came up short losing the match 2-5.
First Half:
SCU started this game off slow. The Eagles came out and gave up a goal in the eight minute of the game. This half was rough for the Eagles losing their starting goalkeeper in the 23 minute due to a red card. At halftime the score was 0-3

Second Half:
The second half showed much of the same from the first half of play. The Eagles scored 2 goals in the second half. One, coming off a penalty kick for Teejay Chiroro and the other from Harrison Tompkins on a free kick. SCU was unable to keep up with Robert's as they put in two more goals to put the game out of reach, and closed the SCU Eagles path to the national championship. In the end SCU lost 2-5.

This loss brings an end to Southwestern Christian's season. The Eagles placed 2nd in the Sooner Athletic Conference, the future looks bright for the Eagles, with many returning players and a solid recruiting class set to join the Eagles, the expectations will continue to grow as the program continues to build. SCU went to the semifinals NCCAA National Tournament and will look forward to getting back to Florida next year for nationals!
