Bethany Okla.-- Southwestern Christian(5-7, 3-4 SAC) competed in a very high pace game against Mid-America Christian on Tuesday afternoon in the Pickens-Springer Gym. MACU came out pressing man and man on the defensive side and stayed in the high press the entire game. The Evangels shot 26-64 from the field(40%). The Eagles defense had 9 steals on the night with 6 blocks.
Southwestern Christian ended the game shooting 21-62(34%) from the floor, while shooting 7 of 22(32%) from beyond the Arc, SCU shot 10 for 15 (68%) from the free throw line. The bench of SCU contributed 25 points. Dalaney Reimer being the top score with 17 points. Southwestern were out-rebounded by the Rams, (42-31). Tresha Yager led SCU with three assists and SCU ended the night with 10 assists overall. Jayden Mason finished the night with 16 points, 5 rebounds and, 3 steals.
Southwestern Christian returns to action for another Sooner Athletic Conference match against Southwestern Assemblies of God(SAGU) on Jan. 5 at 6:00 PM in Bethany, Okla.
