Bethany,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(3-1, 1-0 SAC) and Central Christian(2-4, 0-1 SAC) played a good game of Basketball that saw SCU come out on top over the Tigers, 85-80. Central Christian shot 31 of 78 from the field(40%). Isaiah Rivera was the leading scorer for the Tigers shooting 9-18 from the field and ending the game with 18 pts. The Eagles defensively ended the night with 11 steals and 3 Blocks, Shawn Hopkins led the Eagles with three steals and three different Eagles had three blocks a piece.
Southwestern Christian ended the game shooting 31-63(49%) from the floor, while shooting 9 of 23(39%) from beyond the Arc, SCU shot 14-27(52%) from the Charity strike. The Bench of SCU contributed 24 pts to the effort out performing the Central Christian bench by +9 margin. Shawn Hopkins being the top scorer coming off the bench. Central Christian out-rebounded the Eagles by a +5 advantage, (44-39 CCCK), CCCK had more second chance points over SCU (17-9). Jordan Williams lead SCU with six assists and SCU ended the night with 23 assist overall. The Big Stat for SCU was 40 pts in the paint and 21 pts off of turnovers.
Luiz Machado Jr. led the scoring for SCU with 25 pts, 12 Rebs, 3 Ast,& 1 Stl he shot 9-17 from the floor, 2-6 from beyond the Arc and 5-8 from the Charity strike. Bralen Patterson finished the night with 18 pts, 5 Rebs,4 Ast, 2 Stls,& 1 BLK. Shawn Hopkins and Jordan Williams both finished the night with 11 pts a piece.
