Bartlesville,OK.-- Southwestern Christian(0-1) opens the season on Friday nigh taking a tough loss to Fourth Ranked OKWU, 99-92 in the OKWU Classic, which saw three SCU players end the game in double-digits. OKWU shot 36 of 75 from the field(48%). Dylan Phillip was the leading scorer for OKWU shooting 8-14 from the field and ending the game with 22 pts. The Eagles defensively ended the night with five steals and two blocks, Luiz Machado Jr. lead the Eagles with two steals and Shawn Hopkins and Jonathan Baruti had a block a piece.
Southwestern Christian ended the game shooting 28-69(40%) from the floor, while shooting 6 of 20(30%) from beyond the Arc, SCU shot 30-42(72%) from the Charity strike with a majority of the Free throw attempts and makes shot by Chapman, Hopkins, & Machado Jr. The Bench of SCU contributed 49 pts to the effort out performing the OKWU bench by +14 margin. Hopkins being the top scorer coming off the bench.
