  • Southwestern Christian battled back being down early one-nil in the game against USAO on Saturday as Kodai Tenaka fired in the equalizer in the 51^st minute to force a 1-1 draw.
  • While the Eagles have struggled offensively in the 2022 season, netting just the seventh-most goals with 26 on a 2.17 per game average, the Eagles have been stout on the defensive end, allowing the third-fewest goals at 17 (1.42 GAA) for a plus-9 goal differential.
  • Spearheading the strong Eagles defense is goalkeeper Salvatore Della Vella. The SAC Defensive Player of the Week ranks second in the Sac in total saves with 55 and is coming off a solid week, allowing just a pair of goals and made nine saves to lead SCU to a 3-1 win over Oklahoma City and a 1-1 draw with the Drovers.
  • A rematch of the 2021 Sooner Athletic Conference Championship match,In that title game at the Dill Soccer Field in OKC on Nov. 11, 2021, Luan Cesar knocked in the game-winning goal in the 38^th minute before Endri Copa scored some insurance in the 60^th minute to secure the 2-nil victory and sending SCU home with no hardware heading into the NCCAA National tournament.
