Bethany, Okla – Southwestern Christian Lady Eagles faced Rival Mid-America Christian University Thursday night in Pickens-Springer Gymnasium. The Lady Eagles upset the Evangels in a 5 set match. SCU has not won a match against MACU since 2018.
Mina Iboni and Makenna Thomas helped the Eagles with 16 kills in the game, these two ladies had 32 of the 54 kills on the night. SCU hitting percentage was only .161 but they played outstanding defensive to stay in the game and defeat the #4 team in the conference.
Faith Desouza had 41 assists in this game with 19 digs in this game while Treasure Mozon helped the team with 20 Digs. The eagles figured out a way to spread the ball and let everyone get digs in this game. Three different Eagles had 13 digs in this game (McGee, Coyle, and Thomas).
The Eagles will be in action Tuesday night when they play Langston University in Langston, Okla. at 6:00 PM.
