(WAXAHACHIE, TX)The Lady Eagles move to 8-5 on the season as they power through the Lady Lions 72-56 and pick up their Third Conference win on the season. The Lady Lions shot 22-61 from the Field about 36%, 6-25 from three (24%) and 6-8 shooting from the Free Throw Line about 75%. SCU Defense was stout and forced tough shots and got 10 steals on the night and one Block. The Eagles were able to get 23 pts off of forcing 21 Turnovers which helped lead to the Rout

The Lady Eagles Offense had a good showing today, as they shot 25-61 from the Floor (41%), shot 7-22 from three (32%) and from the Free throw line shot 15-20 (75%). Thamires Andrade led the SCU Lady Eagles in scoring with 22pts. The Bench helped also contributed 16 pts to the Winning effort. The Lady Eagles did Out-Rebound the Lady Lions 42-38. SCU had 10 Offensive rebounds in the game which led to 8 second chance points for the SCU offense. The Lady Eagles also got 8 assist in the Game. Thamires Andrade led the team in assist with four. The big stat for the SCU Offense was 23 points off of Turnovers in the Rout.

The Senior Thamires Andrade had a big Offensive night with 8-14 shooting, 1-1 from three and 5-5 from the Free Throw Line. Her Final stat line is 22 pts, 6 Rebs, 4 Ast, and 4 Stl. Junior Lauren Wade also contributed Big to the Offensive effort with 7-9 shooting from the field and 4-8 from the Charity Strike, Her Final stat line was 18 pts,4 Rebs, 3 Stl, and 1 Blk,  Tresha Yager finished with 9 pts, 5 Rebs,and 1 Ast.

The Lady Eagles will return to action on the Road on Thursday, January 6th at 6:00pm, they will travel to Siloam Springs,AR to play the Lady Golden Eagles of John Brown in another Sooner Athletic Conference matchup.
