Bethany,Okla.--Southwestern Christian(3-3, 1-2 SAC) fall of short of their upset bid against the 11th ranked Drovers(7-2, 2-1 SAC) in tough game 71-79. The Drovers shot 30-71 from the Field about 42%, 3-22 from three (14%) and shot 16-17 from about 94%. SCU Defense was stout and forced tough shots.The Eagles got 14 pts off of 16 Turnovers in the losing effort, SCU also picked up six steals and 3 blocks. Ronald Moore gets 3 blocks on the night for the Eagles.

The Eagles Offense also had a good showing today, as they shot 26-62 from the Floor (42%). SCU shot 6-24 from three (25%) and from the Free throw line shot 13-22 (59%). Luiz Machado Jr. led the SCU Eagles in Assist and Rebounds, he had 7 Rebs and 6 assist. The Bench contributed 14 pts to the effort. The Eagles got Out-Rebounded by the Drovers 33-45. SCU had 8 Offensive rebounds in the game which led to 5 second chance pts for the SCU offense. The Eagles got 14 assist in the Game. Luiz Machado Jr. led the team in assist with 6, Jordan Williams finished with 5 assist on the night. The Eagles got nearly half of their points in the paint scoring about 36 with easy buckets this was a big part of the SCU offense.

The Senior Derek Dantzler had a big Offensive night with 6-11 shooting and 1-2 from beyond the arc and shot 4-6 from the Charity strike, He finished the game with 17 pts, 7 Rebs, 1 Ast. York Benjamin also contributed to the Offensive effort with 5-7 shooting and 2-2 shooting from the Free throw line, His Final stat line was 12 pts and 5 Rebs. Jordan Williams finished the night well, His Final stat line was 12 pts, 5 Rebs, and 3 Ast. Khristien White finished with 10 pts and 3 Rebs, and 2 Ast.

The Eagles will return to action at Home in the Pickens-Springer Gym at 7:45 PM against (RV)Texas Wesleyan for another highly touted Sooner Athletic Conference Matchup.
