Box Score Southwestern Christian Eagles(10-6-2, 4-4-1 SAC) won with a Big Upset over the two seed OPSU Aggies(10-3-3, 6-2-1 SAC), the first round of the Sooner Athletic Conference (SAC). The game was full of action. Each team held each other to a 1 to 1 score through regulation time and in double overtime. Thus, resulting in a draw for the Aggies & Eagles, forcing the game to penalty kicks to advancements in the tournament. Southwestern Christian Eagles were able to score 5-4 to the Aggies in penalty kicks.

The Aggie offense would be more aggressive out of the gates leading to an early goal. This time from a penalty kick to go up 1-0. The offense for the rest of the first half would stall somewhat as neither team could push far into the opponent's side of the field and find the back of the net. Towards the close of the half, the Eagles would tie the game with a Goal by Muhammad Bilal (London, England), Nathan Rodriguez (Mansfield, Texas) would get the assist on the play. The second half of the match started a little more chippy than the previous half. Finishing with a total of seven cautions in the half. The Aggie defense took a stand in the second half as the Eagles found themselves more comfortable in Aggie territory. The Eagles would get off four shots in the half, each saved by Aggie goalies. The end of regulation would close with both teams scoring a single goal.

The Aggies headed into overtime, looking to push the ball into the Eagle's territory in an effort to score a goal and close out the game. However, they were unable to bypass the Eagle's defense and get many shots off. For the Eagles, it was quite the same as they were unable to sneak any shots past the OPSU Goalie in either overtime. As a result, the match would head into a shootout as neither team could get a goal in either overtime. 

The Eagles would send out Paul Richter, Damnjan Kojic, Cameron Ashby, Erivaldo Junior, Muhammad Bilal for their portion of the shootout. Paul Richter (Recklinghausen, Germany) would be the first to get one across for the Eagles. Damnjan Kojic (Belgrade, Serbia) second and he also found the Back of the net for the Eagles giving them the lead 2-1, the Kick before Kojic, the Aggies would miss their PK shot. Cameron Ashby (Johannesburg, South Africa), Erivaldo Junior (Aracaju, Brazil) would each make their shots, leaving the match in the hands of Muhammad Bilal (London, England) and with a great strike, He would find the back of the net for the Eagles to advance to the second round of the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament.

Southwestern Christian will return to action on Monday, November 8th, 2021 at 7:00 PM in Fort Worth,TX against Texas Wesleyan in the SAC tournament Semi-Finals
