Phoenix,AZ.--Southwestern Christian(4-2, 1-1 SAC) fell in a tough fight to Park U-Gilbert(3-5), 78-81 in Overtime. The Lady Bucs shot 33-70 from the Field about 47%, 7-21 from three (33%) and also had a tough time at the Charity strike shooting 8-23 about 34%.The Lady Bucs scored 23 pts off of Turnovers and that is what helped the Lady Bucs keep the Lady Eagles at bay.

The Lady Eagles Offense also had a decent showing today, as they shot 26-65 from the Floor (40%). SCU shot 5-23 from three (22%) and from the Free throw line shot 21-26 (81%). Thamires Andrade led the SCU Lady Eagles in scoring with 27 pts. The Bench contributed 26 pts in tough Loss, Kea Mays contributed 10 of those pts coming off the bench. The Lady Eagles did get out-rebounded but not by much, a slim margin of two, (42-40). SCU had 10 Offensive rebounds in the game which led to 12 second chance pts for the SCU offense.  The Eagles had a really tough time getting on the fast break which is a big part of their game, not being able to score any Fast-break pts today. SCU did move the ball well today picking up 16 assist as a team on the day, Thamires Andrade led the team in Assist today with 6.

The Senior Thamires Andrade gets her Second Straight Double-Double after today's game after getting her First of the season last game against OPSU, She shot 7-8 from the Field and Perfect from the Charity Strike, shooting 13-13 she finished the game with 27 pts, 11 Rebs, 6 Ast, 4 Stls, 1 Blk. Kea Mays also contributed to the Offensive effort with 3-11 shooting, also shot 2-8 from beyond the arc, and shot 2-2 from the free throw line, Her Final stat line was 10 pts, 1 Rebs, 1 Stl. Abbey Phibbs finished with 9 pts, Christina Jenkins finished with 8 pts. Coach Mark Arthur had this to say after the game, "Didn't play our best today, but plenty of chances to put them away and didn't! Hopefully, we learn from it!" 

The Lady Eagles will return to action Tomorrow on Saturday, November 27th,at 10:00 am against Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Univ. (AZ.) in the final game of the Buccaneer Classic in Phoenix, AZ.
