Isaiah Carson

  • Title
    Assistant Coach

Isaiah Carson will join the Southwestern Christian University men’s basketball coaching staff for the 2017-18 season.

Prior to coming to SCU, Carson served as the head coach and recruiting coordinator for the post-grad team at Combine Academy of Atlanta.

Carson, a native of Philadelphia, attended Carver High School of Engineering and Science before playing his college ball at the University of Valley Forge (Pa.) under current SCU head coach Jon Mack. He was part of two NCCAA East Region Championship teams during his freshman and sophomore seasons.

During his junior campaign in 2013, Carson suffered a season-ending knee injury. Unable to compete that season, Mack asked him to join the UVF coaching staff as a student assistant.

Carson transitioned into a greater coaching role with the Patriots the following season, when Mack elevated him to Director of Basketball Operations. His duties included player development, video editing, team travel coordination and opponent scouting.

Carson has also worked basketball camps at the University of Alabama and Rider University.

In addition to coaching collegiately, he has also coached multiple 10U – 16U teams for Team Action AAU basketball program in the greater Philadelphia area.
