Men's Soccer Reserves Fall to Rose State 4-1

MIDWEST CITY, Okla. — The Southwestern Christian University men's soccer reserve team traveled to Rose State Wednesday for a heated match.

Rose State delivered the first goal on a penalty kick in the 19th minute, but the Eagles answered in short order with a tremendous diving header by Tomas Alvear to even the score.

Daniel Noble scored a goal for the ages that was unfortunately disqualified by an an offsides call, otherwise the Eagles would have ended the first half with a 2-1 lead.

The game came down to a story of two halves. The first one saw SCU dominate the game, but the second was plagued with mistakes that created three goal scoring opportunities for Rose State.

The match ended with the Eagles coming up on the short end by a score of 4-1.

The man of the match for the Eagles was Matias Coratolo.

SCU faces Cowely Community College this Saturday, September 1 at 5:30 p.m. at home.
